How does it work?
Dental implants are a replacement for missing or soon to be missing teeth, but not like the artificial teeth that may first come to mind. They consist of a prosthetic root and tooth, designed especially for you to mimic your natural anatomical structure and look as natural in the mouth as possible.
First, we place a titanium or ceramic implant into your jawbone that acts as a replacement root for the teeth that can no longer support themselves. This implant fuses with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration so that the implant becomes a fixed part of your mouth. Once this is complete, we will attach your new teeth to the dental implant.
We will design your implants to look and function just like your natural teeth. This makes for a comfortable, discreet alternative to options like dentures. With thorough care, implants can last for over 20 years.
Restore your confidence with personalised dentistry
Losing a tooth can be a huge knock to your self-confidence, leaving you feeling anxious about smiling, eating and attending social events. Thankfully, dental implants can help by offering a permanent solution to a single missing tooth or several missing teeth, including a full mouth treatment.
Stephen understands that no two patients are the same, so why should their dental treatment be. Stephen prides himself on listening to his patients concerns and treatment goals and providing a tailored treatment for each individuals needs.
